Mile after mile of bumper to bumper traffic is more than enough to motivate me through the winter. :smile:

I was just thinking that . So, OPer and other fair weather commuters - don't. It adds to the congestion and makes it worse for us real cycle commuters ;)

This Autumn I found breaking my collarbone and ribs was the way to avoid the winter commute :rolleyes:
After 3 weeks and 2 of them back on trains, all I can say is roll on February! God I loath it.
The freedom, the joy, yes joy, of being on a bike in the dark. The looks on colleagues' faces when they realise I had cycled in on the one snow day the burbs had last winter. ^_^

i normally manage to try and go the whole year but refuse to ride in the snow and when its icy although thinking of getting some studded tyres this year just in case

Man, am I staying out of NYC from here on.. In Chicago, the police would probably yell-
"Hey, youse guyss-roide in da bike lane"
and wouldn't be arsed to ticket you.
