Straddle the line, discord and rhyme
It's bad, isn't it. I think I like Gainsbourg for his eccentricity more than his actual music, for weird French pop music I'd probably listen to Jacques Dutronc. Maybe some of our French contributors can let us know what the opinion is of either of them in their home country.
I've got a soft spot for Harley Davidson, although I think that's because of the couple of cover versions released in the 90s. PJ Harvey did it, and some band I can't remember although I think I've got the 7". Anyway, here's BB's version.
