Having been on the receiving end of burglary and motorbike thieft I wish all sorts of unpleasantness on all thieves. They obviously don't care how these crimes affected me so why should I care about them.

That somebody should have done a better job then, shouldn't they?He was somebody's son.
The perfect example of that occurred one Tuesday night in Preston, Lancs. It was during the broadcast of the BBC TV programme 'a Question of Sport' when one of the team captains was rugby player Billy Beaumont. A Lancastrian burglar broke in to the home of the famous rugby player and was shocked to be confronted by the same man. The famous rugby player pounded several shades of excrement out of the miscreant before calling the local constabulary, at his leisure, and literally sat on the criminal awaiting the arrival of the gentlemen of the police. He'd broken into the Beaumont household assuming Billy Beaumont's appearance on the programme would be broadcast live and couldn't fathom out why the former England captain was inside the house to greet him. I was so moved by the plight of the burglar, tears rolled down my cheek. And I guffawed like there was no tomorrow. It's very very rare, but just now and again Johnny Scumbag breaks into the wrong house or steals the wrong thing and is caught at it by an indignant Phil Mitchell hard man type, and given a 5 knuckle lesson in good manners. Alas, it doesn't happen often enough to be a deterrent, but we all raise a cheer when it does occasionally happen.
Actually no I don't think I would, but never having been there it's difficult to make an objective decision, however the fact they cut of burglar's hands would not have any impact on my decision either way, I've managed to get to 54 without the desire/need to go burglaring & feel I probably never will.Would you like to live in Saudi then? Thought not.
What really annoyed me was I found out quite quickly who had burgled me and told the police. A month went by and I got letter saying the police hadn't got anywhere with their investigation and weren't actively pursuing it any more.Having had three bikes stolen four years ago I'm of a similar opinion.
If I could come face to face with the scum even now I'd hope to have a very heavy blunt instrument in my hand.
While your tone Is to say the least...extreme, the sentiments in posts above beggar belief IMO. This is a civilised country built on Christian values...even if like me, you're not christian, we all (apparently) benefit from a civilised society that relies on the law for justice.Deleted by A Moderator
