Is it possible to listen in to race radio when attending UCI races? If so what frequency do they use?

I think around 146MHz is common but I have no idea about encoding or modulation.

They almost certainly use digital now. The prime candidate is MotoTRBO, but could also be Fusion. With a computer based SDR running DSD+ through SDR# you can probably listen in, its doubtful they'd go to the effort of additional encryption like MR or Lowland Rescue do. But before you can so any of that you'd need to know the frequency they're using, which means doing your homework on one of the scanning forums, or using SDR# as a frequency analyser to find it.

In other words, quite possibly, but it won't be at all easy.

The reason I think it's often around 146 is that race organisation handbooks tend to list the frequency and are sometimes online as PDFs. It is possible handbooks now detail encodings too.
