I once tripped over a tree root while setting up a toprope at Causey Quarry in Co.Durham. I plunged head first over the edge but somehow my flailing hand caught a root as I slid over and I stopped with the top half of my body in space, staring straight into the shocked eyes of my GF about 60' below me.
