I have just bought a racing bike with thin tyres the pressure states 110mx psi.
The valve is not a car type, what pump or gauge do I need and where can I get one.
Thanks
Ed:smile:

Any bike shop - it's called a Presta valve - most pumps can do both, and don't buy a cheap £5 one - spend about £20 or get a track pump (lidl may have some left) - but you will need a compact pump to take out with you.

Car types are called schrider !

Hi Ed, does it look like the pic here?

In that case it's a presta valve, and you need;
a) A pump that fits those and
:blush: One that can reliably go to high pressures.

I recommend the Topeak Road Morph G for carrying on the bike, although more knowledgable people will be along to advise you directly :blush: .

As for compact pumps that could be used anytime for any valve.... I'll add...

Decathlon Clever 900 (gauge and does both) - that's with me every day communting
Blackburn Air Sticks (I've got the carbon one - but got it for free)

I use a track pump at home - I have an ancient one that's lasted over 20 years and still works...worth investing !

i'd also recommend the topeak master blaster as a frame pump, and fully recommend a track pump. aldi will be selling one in their upcoming sale on 1st may.
