..have decided to go with the Topeak Super tourist rack(disc brake) and one of the compatible trunk bags.
Has anybody got a pic of either of these on their bike?
Trying to decide between these two bags-

I don't have a CX bike or disc brakes but I do have that rack and the top bag on my Sirrus - does the job very well (the actual bag is pretty voluminous, and the panniers even more so), but the light clipped on the back is very rattly and rather annoying  I need to improvise with some tape somewhere!

I got the bag for £55 from Evans in Wimbledon on 2 Jan - might be worth asking your local branch if they can do the same deal (if they don't already)

No pics, but some were posted somewhere on here - by Derrick maybe? Where I first spotted the bag..

I had the Topeak MTX Trunk Bag with Panniers & Topeak Super Tourist DX Rack with spring (not the disc verison) it was a great bag the fold down paniers were handy you can just unzip them and stuff them full of crap whan needed, also if you go for a long ride put the food in the paniers then just zip them up once you have eaten all the food.

I sold them to TheBoyBilly last year so you could PM him and see what he thinks of them.

I wish I had kept them as they would have been great for the Hybrid.

I have the fold out panniers - well worth it for commuting, longer jaunts - for the sake of a fiver or whatever offers more versatility

I would go with the paniers, I only usually use the main bit for my gym stuff which fills it so if I do some shopping while thats full the paniers are really useful. Also, you can still put a bit of stuff in the panier pods while the pannieres are still folded up inside them. I have a pump, patches and tube in there even when they are folded up.

Nice pics Paul
Thanks vickster, I have ordered one from CRC using a £10 off voucher, gone for the fold out panier one and a disc specific rack.

The topeak bag and rack were a great purchase for me, I got mine about 3weeks ago. The fold out panniers are great, I got the topeak cover for the bag from Halfords for £14 delivered, great piece of kit. Used it tonight for the first time.

Glad you like them Moby, that reminds me I must order the raincover too
Mine arrived today and are now fitted, bag is much bigger than my RX one I use on the road bike, looks good though.
I got the 'babysitter' rack, it was £5 or £6 cheaper than the Super Tourist and a few hundred grammes lighter too, can't see any downside to it yet.
Will put a pic up later.
