My friend is planning on taking his Giant Bowery on our trek around Europe but has found it difficult to find a back rack for it since it has no place to secure it near the drop-outs. The ones that clamp on the seat post only seem to take a few kilos which are not enough for all the equipment we need. I was wondering if anyone here had any advice.

I did a search and couldn't find anything.

P-clips. You may have heel clearance issues but I'm sure I remember posts on Bikeradar about putting a rack on a Bowery.

Really though, there are far more suitable bikes for this kind of thing. Is your friend doing the ride fixed? Fixed is great for some things but not rolling countryside on a bike weighed down with luggage.

I think he'd probably be better served by a saddlebag/barbag than a rack.

I reckon so.
