Probably not much news for the serious followers of team GB, but it did get me wondering about whether alcohol was the reason they hide their wheels.

Yeah, I'd agree with that. Success at that level though seems to absolve these latter day gurus of any and all personal failings. It seems that they can be as curmudgeonly as anything and people will still speak well of them if they are getting results. Although staying behind wherever it was for a couple of days to see that Millar was alright after being arrested did speak rather well of him I thought.
