darkstar said:Yeh it's quite funny but it is a great song! I think the majority who have bought are Rage fans.
It's annoying however that people don't seem to be getting the aim of this, they are saying it is cynical, a personal thing against Cowell or Joe. it's not, it's just an attempt to get a decent song to christmas Number 1!
As of today the bookies have made Rage favorites and we are 60,000 sales ahead! But we need more, the single will sell thousands in HMV today now it's released on CD.
We're all doing it for our own reason, if people want to buy the track to spite the x factor, thats fine by me! I personally did it to get Rage to number 1, love the band and what they stand for with their political activism.Greedo said:Are you really that naive to really believe that? Of course it is. Not directly at the wee lad that won the thing but it is a direct opposition to the X Factor always claiming the Number 1 spot at Christmas.
The only people gaining from this are Sony. People should buy music they like and never told to. That way, what the majority like, crap, good or indifferent will take the number one spot.
The charts don't matter anyway in my eye. Just buy what I like and already own the RATM song fro years ago.

From this, I will assume therefore that there are 40 million morons in this country who care what the Christmas no.1 is.
The number of normal people in this country appears to be rapidly diminishing!
Disclaimer: obviously not all 20 million would buy the track, but my point stands.
darkstar said:Hi all, 'Killing in the name' is currently ahead on downloads but the physical release of the X Factor single today will bring them right back. Wondering if anybody has bought either track?
If you are interested in getting RATM to number 1 you can buy it for as little as 29p from Amazon!

Yes, it's all i though appropriate for someone who generalises everyone who either enjoys the x factor or cares about the christmas number 1 as 'morons' It's just not cool in my opinion.gavintc said:nice
You're not being told to buy it, if your like the band and agree with the cause then do, if not then thats fine. No on is telling you to do anything.gavintc said:A man that talks some sense. The Rage thing just annoys me. I for one do not like to be told to buy something.
