Now that's something that I'm unlikely to do. Even in the headiest height of any heatwave in Scotland, it's still unlikely to reach anything more than 30C. We're grateful if it gets to 20!Then we can get back to complaining about how it's too hot
You weren't commuting yesterday (Sunday) morning then! I was in the big city and it was raining. Only light rain, and it dried up early afternoon. That's why I decided to cycle home, as the weather forecast had said it was to dry up as the day progressed. Sadly no-one told the weather God who controls Inverclyde district. It rained constantly from Bridge of Weir to LargsHas it been raining? Amazing!
Must have been while I was on shift, because my commutes have been dry for ages

Was it falling upwards though?Starting to get a bit more rain here as well and it almost made me rethink my commute this week but I would hate to let one good summer turn me soft so shorts and waterproof jacket for me at the moment but usually have to discard that half way there.
Just watching a Welsh farming programme and I've just seen a clip of real rain.
I did 30 harduous laps around my local park yesterday,in which i was subjected to 4 seasons in 99 minutes 50 seconds. I set off wearing a fleecy long sleeve jersey which got soaked,then when the sun came out you could see the steam coming off it. About 17 laps into my monstrous task the heavens opened up again and i was totally soaked...again,only for the wind to build up which dried me off again.
The conkers and leaves have started to fall making it difficult and giving a sign that summer's dying out and autumn's on its way.
My palm tree's unsure about this rain. 'He's been outside now for ooh must be about 3 months or so,in which he's soaked up the 'heat wave's sunshineAbout time too, my Ash tree is looking very sorry for itself. I may need to start a thread about it.
etc etc. He's now starting to slow down with the leaf growth as we approach autumn. I don't know if he'll fit through the door of my flat,so maybe i'll have to leave him outside permanently. 
I'm just glad i didn't plant him in the ground though as some other residents wanted me to do,as if/when i leave here i'd have to leave him behind.

I've read that they can survive up to minus 8 Celsius. It's unlikely we'd get that here,but i will be bringing 'him' inside come the winter,or at least covering 'him' with a blanket during very cold weather, which is recommended.
