As @Inertia showed in his map, you can loop through Crank and Billinge back to the East Lancs. If you want to entend the loop back, go from Billinge to Newton Le Willows then back towards Warrington. Or reverse it and descend the steeper side of Crank hill. (Just make sure your brakes pads are good before setting off. ^_^)
If you are feelng stronger, you can go from Billinge to Wigan and then back along the Warrington/Wigan Road to Haydock. Alternatively, use the cycle paths along the East Lancs and Rainford by pass, to get you most of the way to Ormskirk or Southport, then either by the direct route of the A570, or some of the quieter roads which run (roughly) adjacent to the A570.

Am a little bemused though about why you would want to ride so far out of Warrington to do a cycle path along a fast dual carriageway? However lots of things are worth trying once I suppose!

Have you ridden along the Trans Pennine Trail to see the new Runcorn Bridge and beyond? In nice weather this is surprisingly scenic and even spectacular!
Because I have never done it before
I enjoyed it, although the traffic tends to ruin it slightly.
Done the Trans Pennine from Woolston>Walton>Moore>Runcorn>over the bridge>back along the Sankey Canal. 30+ miles as I recall.

Looking at the map it should be possible to create some nice loops going south into Cheshire towards Great Budworth etc. Guess it will depend on where you live in Warrington and whether you want to ride across town, particularly when it gets busy.

Yes........I do some of those loops over the summer......when I have built back up to 40+ miles. They are very enjoyable rides. Some decent hills on them (some CCrs may say "they are not hills" but my little legs will say "yes they are"
