Possibility of me delving into obtaining a raleigh team panasonic/ weinman for my herd

More pics to follow as I'm getting a look later hopefully
Any details of the bike and other panasonic models are welcomed
Also wondered what the buying price would be around in UK

How can you tell the difference?

The Panasonic team replica would have 531c tubing and Shimano 600 components. Your pic is of a low end model in Panasonic colours.

Edit: Also believe there was a 753 version, and a 501.

Mr Lops is right. The 531 versions is the one to have. The one you've spotted is a paint job rip off, a lesser 18-30 scaffold pole Raleigh, utterly run of the 1980s mill apart from paint. Paint it black it could be a Pursuit, paint it pearl it could be an Equippe.

Yebbut the Pursuit and the Equipe are nice bikes to ride though.

The price is the important thing, does the seller think he's got something valuable?

Yeah, I had a Pursuit when I was in the Army. The whole recipe was getting a bit long in the tooth by then, but it wasn't a bad bike to ride. Still better than the Townsend and Apollo offerings of the day.

He's looking £100 and after abit of delving I think its a raleigh cadet so I dont even think there will be any components that would stand out after looking at the spec catalouge

I think 100 is way off mark. As stated above the only interesting thing is the paint job. I say about half that.

Looking at the rear dropouts and the seat tube are quick ways to check the quality.

Jeez, they were only £120 or so when new. I'd laugh in the jesters face and make a big play about tucking my change purse back into my shirt pocket before striding away.
