An S prefix on a UK bike would denote an SBDU frame but as you're in the US of A I'd say it was a Raleigh America built bike
Nice looking though. :becool:

Raleigh Record Ace serial NK 014185 , if I did research right, knottingham July 1970, funny part is the side derailleur is shimano made in Taiwan, Just asking if I dated the bike right?

If it is a Nottingham bike from 1970 then the crank has been uprated to a square taper from cottered also the front changer.
For myself it looks more like a mid 80s bike going by the logo which would also fit with the square taper crank and also when Shimano started to outsource the making of their cheaper range of equipment to Taiwan.
