Just rebuilt the crank and I think I might have but the crank in the wrong way looking at the gap. Can somebody confirm

Looks like it if the axle is asymmetric, best way is to take it out and double check

Doesn't look too much of a gap and the other side is well clear of the chainstay. May well be asymmetric as midlife says, check what the chain line looks like and measure the axle protruding each side.

Thanks for the replys. I'm along way off putting a chain on as the wheels are a bit of a state but once their done I'll give it a go. Note to self take even more pics than you already have during the tare down 😂
