Did you post about that, I don't remember seeing anything, sounds a bit grim.

No, sorry to break news as an aside in this thread, which I don't want to hijack. I was mowed down by a red-light running truck on July 19. Two surgeries and 3 weeks in hospital. Now laid up in my living room.

Good news of sorts is that I survived at all and surgeons appear to have successfully re-attached my foot. I've been trying to get my head around writing it up and which subforum is appropriate. PM me if you have opinion on that.

Rando, shocked by your news, hope the recovery goes to plan. On the plus side can we expect to be able to pick your brains a bit more than usual?

Anyone not sure about that last bit, follow the link in his signature, great stuff!

Cheers Mac. Sure, contact me via VeloWeb or PM. You can follow me on Twitter too. As I just told Crackle, I'm confined to the ground floor and using laptop in bed. Also, can't stand, so new content will be sparse for a while. Have some good stuff in the wings though.

I've nothing to add regarding the pedal debate but want to wish Randochap a quick and full recovery.

I have just returned to look at this thread and to learn of our friendly Canadian's horrific accident. I do hope you return to full fitness and soon. I do hope your foot is not too damaged. It cannot be easy being laid up while the sun shines. Thinking of you - get well soon.
