Isn't that a fact? IIRC a factoid is something untrue which is repeated so often that people think it is true.
And spam = sp[iced] [h]am.

There, two random facts for the price of one.

Oh. I was using factoid to mean snippet of news but didn't know that it originally meant a sort of apocryphal fact. I have refiled the word into my ''think before you type'' folder.

err ... why was the speed camera going into Chideock ?

I've written off to Dorset road safety asking them how fast I was going; I forgot to ask if I can have a copy of the photo. Now that they're able to trace me it'll be interesting to see what, if anything, I get charged with; I'm kinda hoping for a charge of cycling wantonly and furiously


I haven't got a scooby doo why the camera was going into Chideock though I did a pretty good job of chasing & catching up with it
