A similar immobilisation can be obtained with rabbits. Hold them on the ground belly up and they become very calm. Gently removing your hands leaves them immobilised until a stimulus such as a sharp noise or a light touch breaks the 'spell'

Tie a hankie or similar garment loosely round a cat's "waist" and it will fall over.

You're trying to make us believe that you've never chalked the chicken.
