I always thought he just ran about and kicked people when he was at Rangers, but he seemed to develop a bit after he left - but mostly still just ran about a lot swinging his leg at anyone who went near him.

True, but that's what most Rangers midfielders do...

For me, he's the sort of player who's an absolute bastard to play against, but you'd take him in your team. Bit like Scott Brown I suppose, can't stand him when he's playing for Celtic, but put him in a Scotland shirt, stick his robotic mind into kill mode and enjoy the consequences.

I cannae stand Brown; I reckon he's mince. He was pish at Hibs and I cannae see why he's rated. An average player at best.
