The name of the league really isn't important, that was the last time it was called the third division as a radical renaming structure was being undertaken.

FWIW, I always think of the leagues as 1 - 4, rather than this Prem/Champ/1/2 nonsense.

That means Rangers started in the 4th league , not the 2nd or the 3rd

With Jefferies as their manager, poor bastards.

Best manager we have had in years and even stayed with no pay when the going got tuff

So when Rangers went bust because they had spent more than they earned, whose idea was it to say:

'Tell you what, let's form a new club called 'Rangers2' or something, and our buisiness model from day 1 will be that we will spend more than we earn. That'll be grand, won't it?'

Why haven't Rangers2 spent the last few years growing their own players, who by now would have several years experience as professional footballers?

If/when it all goes belly up again, why would the SFA allow them back into the league again?

That's fair actually. He did well for us (Killie) for many seasons, but his last 3 linger strongest as it was properly archaic hoofball. Painful.

We seem to have went from always playing the longball to pretty much never trying it  I don't go very often but it wasn't for work and money i'd like to go more often but then that would be less :bicycle: time:laugh:

We did this a few pages ago and the only real answer is that ra peepul have an unbelievable sense of entitlement, as well as a mis-guided opinion that they are in some way vital to Scottish football.

A dangerous combination, which has seen money spunked away with little care or consideration.

Edited for the bit I was replying to - @Eddy has it spot on about how this originally kicked off.

There was some in depth stuff about it on the Rangers Tax Case site from someone who seemed to be in the know.
