By contrast, Yodel were meant to deliver something and collect some returns today, they arrived about 5.15 this evening and just asked for the items they were collecting. I wasn't here and the wife thought there'd been a change so she handed over what needed to be handed over.
About 2 hours later, and with stationary traffic outside our door due to the M4's issues, the guy turned up hugely apologetic and said he realised that he'd messed up (not his actual phrase

) when there was still something in the van after he did his last drop off and it had taken him 45 minutes to do the 7 miles back to us.
Now, I know that it was his mistake in not dropping off when he should have done but to then sit in that traffic at the end of a sodden wet Monday to put it right, I thought that was pretty special.
This same guy has been covering our area since the days of HDN and he is fantastic, on one occasion coming back at least three times in one day before finding us home on the fourth visit.
Given the many other tales, though, about Yodel, I do recognise that he could be the one exception.
