Sometimes I think there I something in the water or something is being beamed out of the television that's turning people into idiots.

More likely to be the television than the water I would say.

Then going into York in the cycle lane (the traffic was fairly heavy) I was nearly doored by a blind driver getting out of his car, the language wasn't very complimentry, rant over.

They allow blind people to drive in York? I think I'll be avoiding that city in future.
