Shame it didn't start a two weeks ago when I was in the Alps. I racked up over 15000m climbing in one week. I'm currently only 40% through after 3 rides, but I have a full day pass from the missus on Sat, so I'm going hill hunting.
All hail the day pass!

Hey Colin, in case you haven't already realised, you were looking at last year's leaderboard http://app.strava.com/challenges/rapha-rising-circle-of-death and it took well over 1000 miles to log those meters.

Here's this years http://app.strava.com/challenges/rapha-rising-2013 ;)
I am easily confused!

Looking at the current leaderboard, the numbers do in fact appear to be in metres, not feet.

I don't really like the idea of doing repeats on the same hills, over and over again. I think a more interesting challenge would only allow each climb to be counted once. It would take more planning and riding greater distances to get the climbing done that way. Not much use to people who do not have many climbs to choose from, though ...

Thats me finished.

Did resort to hill repeats on Tuesday and Wednesday but that was due to time factors - can fit in about 1000 metres of climbing in about 20 miles that way i'd be about 40 miles per 1000 without doing any repeats.
