Rapha to be bought?

For all you trendy fashionistas, you might be interested to know that the cool dudes are apparently selling out to LVMH. That is Luis Vuitton Moet Hennessy.

Quote from one of my Trade papers:
...' the luxury goods group LVMH has approached Rapha, the manufacturer of top-end cycling clothing and bike-related accessories – and a brand worn proudly by the fashion-conscious peddler.
The reputed move by LVMH takes the company into the new realm of sports products, albeit exclusive ones.
Indeed, the French company is already believed to be in talks to purchase Italian bike brand Pinarello.
LVMH, best known as the owner of Louis Vuitton and Moët & Chandon, currently has no sports brands in its extensive portfolio of luxury drinks and fashion labels.
The Daily Mail noted that Rapha had filed a pre-tax profit of £1.1 million for the year ending January 31 2016.
The brand was started in 2004 by former brand consultant Simon Mottram and is headquartered in London, although it has an office in Portland, Oregon.'

This is just a rumour but no smoke without fire. It wont make the slightest difference to me as I boycott all LVMH product after having a major disagreement with one of their division's business practices a number of years ago!

If this happens, then Rapha will finally achieve the 'ultimate wanka' status is has long aspired to...

Rapha's shark jumped a few years ago during peak Wiggins. Good time to sell IMHO (like I have any business acumen).

Rapha seem to be growing at a very good rate, and seem to be opening stores with high regularity. They've gone from c£25m to c£35 t/o in their last two periods as well (if I can remember correctly) which is huge, and I don't see it being an anomalous growth due to increased appeal/availability with new stores and their new 'core' range - it's not difficult to see why this has garnered attention...
