Re-posting thread, as the photos have been moved and no longer show in the old thread which I have asked to be deleted.

Also, in case the 53/42 12-23 gearing seems a bit intimidating, I forgot to mention that the following spare drivetrain items are also included:
  • an unused Ultegra 12-25 cassette (9sp)
  • a hardly used 39-tooth Dura Ace 7402 chainring
The 39 would only get fished out for trips to the Alps, so has very little wear!

For sale: a rare classic TVT Carbone 92, as used by Bernard Hinault, Greg Lemond, Pedro Delgado and Miguel Indurain to win the Tour de France.

This was the ultimate road frame back then and was used by the top continental professionals in the late 80s and early 90s (sometimes re-badged as Looks, Pinarellos); this specimen has itself seen many ascents of the Galibier, Iseran, Bonette, Izoard, Madeleine, Croix de Fer, Glandon, Alpe d'Huez etc.

It is in excellent condition, with all components and drivetrain in particular working perfectly, having been maintained by an expert mechanic (me) all these years, although there are a few scuffs and marks as you'd expect on a used bike. Not much of the equipment is as originally fitted (was mainly Campagnolo C-Record/Modolo when I first built it, but subsequent moves to STI levers and then 9sp saw Dura-Ace and Ultegra substituted). The current drivetrain has low mileage, as the bike was superseded in the hierarchy many years ago and has been ridden little in the last 5-10 years (see the rims, which still have their anodising largely intact on the braking surface). The Dura-Ace brakes are astoundingly good, and it is a very comfortable ride.

Reason for sale: pressure of space.

Price: £650 plus shipping

I have a CFR which I really would like to stick back on the road? Needs shifters, brakes and rear derailiuer. Thinking about stalking gumtree for a donor bike! It was the bike above which reminded me of what it used to look like
