I was going to buy one but they were fifty quid, so I thought, hang on, I've got some wood, I can build one. So I photographically memorised the fifty quid one and then got to work.

It's hard to tell I know (cough) but the last time I did any fancy woodwork, that being defined as anything beyond a straight cut and nailing things, was pre O-Level.

This was a final pre-cursor to make sure I had the necessary skills to do the decking. I think on the strength of this I can go pro.

I know what you mean but apart from two strips of wood, I had everything.

Looks great. I might buy 4 of you. The £200 will be worth it to keep you off CC for a few days and a small breeze in the right direction should have them crumbing into some nice wood for my fire.

Four: A few days. I think you vastly over-estimate the speed I work.
