Drago and DRM. When you DRM say 'start buying used cars....', most of us buy used cars! Buying brand new is very expensive as we know and most new cars lose value the day you drive them out the showroom, as we all know. My current Fiat 500 is third, not second hand, yet it's been relatively problem free. I thought last night of a way to resolve the should I buy the Mini Roadster dilemma or not. About 40 yards across the road from me is an MOT centre. It also advertises as specialising in BMWs and Audis. When I go out later today as I post, I'm going to go there to ask the owner, who once told me he's worked on mostly BMWs and Audis for 40 years, so he knows his stuff, if that Mini Roadster is worth buying, mostly regarding the engine. If he says no, I'll 100 percent take his word for it. If he says yes, I'll buy it. If he says it's a gamble, like buying all cars I'll probably take a chance and buy it. The seller phoned me yesterday evening, after I sent him a text message asking if he could bring the car to me, rather than me travel to them as I don't fancy trying to find their place after a 36 mile journey. He said he's going to take a video of the car, inside and outside and send it to me. If I still like/want it he will then get someone to bring it to me to have a look at it. He also asked if I was selling my current car, saying he'd be interested when I told him what it was. I just have to have a 'new to me' car! My Fiat has given me wonderful service and I'd miss it if I part exchanged it, but being slightly eccentric I do get attached to inanimate objects, which some might not 'get'. Yes, it's given me wonderful service, but I've had it now for three and a half years, and I feel I need something different, but kind of similar to my Fiat 500C.🤔 I've had a few health scares lately that have made me think that I'm not going to make a century!😉 I do not have any intentions to leave my dosh to any relatives or friends. I'll leave some to animal charities as I value animal life far more than human life these days! But then why leave money when it's there to be spent, not saved for someone to get their mitts on when you're brown bread. Therefore spending a mere £5,600 or whatever, if it gives me pleasure is worth it! I love soft top cars! I can only drive small cars due to disability problems. A new to me nice car will give me pleasure. I do not want to drive round in a car I'm running into the ground DRM! I'm 65 in less than a month's time and I think a nice car, if the engine gets the MOT centre's thumbs up will give me pleasure, which we all seek, wouldn't you agree.😉
