This morning I got the nicest surprise by way of a text from the lady I met on Aberdeen beach last month...I asked for her number which she gave...I then asked for advice on here from you fine people about how long I should wait before calling her....there then followed lots of advice some good some funny some rubbish....Anyway after two attempts to contact the lovely lady in question with no reply I resigned myself to giving up thinking that's that then.....until today when I received a lovely message from her full of sorriness and all that for not replying to me....[she has a plausible acceptable reason for this] Anyway she wanted to know if I was still interested in meeting up with her [is the Pope Catholic?] So i'm taking her out for lunch this Tuesday.....Just wanted to say to all the doubters who got involved in this thread......A BIG HA

TBF, my lovely gorgeous OH ignored my text for two weeks when I first invited him to take me for a spin in his Bongo, but he says he was deploying the "treat em mean, keep em keen" technique.

He's redeemed himself since then, though.
