........women; apparently. So I was told this morning by some nobber hanging out the window of the front passenger seat of a taxi as it passed me while out on my bike.
Thirty seconds later I caught up with the taxi at a red light. I took the sensible option of sitting behind the taxi while he shouted some more incoherent nonsense at me. Sometimes I do wish I was a violent psychopath as it would have made me feel much better if I had gone up the inside of the taxi and broken his jaw with a swift left hook. However knowing my luck I would have been up against Kilwinning's equivalent of Kenneth Noye; so I let it go. Pi55ed me off a little for the rest of the ride though...

Didn't get the number and in any case it wasn't the driver who was the problem. Involving any type of authority in this relatively trivial matter is a waste of time, as I know from 19 years bitter experience (plus another 2 years as a taxi driver a while back). Best just to let it go; as the only medicine that works for nobbers is to put them down in front of their audience.

To be fair, it's a rare event when the least objectionable person in a taxi is the driver.

I had a big man yell a load of unintelligible nonsense at me this morning from the passenger seat of his mates 13-year old Astra as it went past.
No idea what he was shouting but whatever it was it didn't half make his face go red - or maybe his own face was embarrassed by him?

It's only ever happened to me a couple of times and all I can think of when it does is why? What on earth are they getting from it, I just don't get it?

What's with all the hatred of cyclists, that seems to be getting more widespread?
Sometimes I look forward to a massive fuel shortage, or some other reason for cars not being readily available to the masses. How are these people going to get to their McD's drive-thru then? I wonder if they would attempt to cycle, or just sit in front of Jeremy Kyle relying on someone else bringing them their thrice daily fix of lard?

I'm not sure it's just cyclists, especially going with my experience as a pedestrian this morning. I do think more and more people now believe they are entitled to their space regardless of who might be actually occupying it at the time.

I believe you are right. Everyone has just become very selfish, in a nutshell.

Not sure if I agree with you here. Bullies pick on the weak. If they get no reaction, that is seen by them as a sign of weakness. If, however, they get a smack on the jaw that puts them on their arse, they don't like it - and THAT will stop them. Just my POV..
