My missus tracks me on.Endomondo when I'm.cycling home on a late shift.

It creates a link that you can send through either text email Facebook message etc

Once you sent it the recipient follows the link to a map and shows where you are and where you've been, I think it updates every 1-2 minutes

It also alerts anyone using the link if you have stopped for a period of time (optional)

You have to set how many hours you will be out for so I always select 10 hours otherwise if your not back within the selected time it stops monitoring you

my phone is a windows phone so will not run android apps. Now it is working properly I am happy with Endomondo.

Ridewithgps does this as well as everything else you would need to do with a cycling app.
