Another rear mudguard broken this week, only purchased new at the beginning of winter. Is it possible to purchase just a rear guard without the front one (that never breaks) I can't see anything about other than pairs. Am getting fed up with having to spend £25-£30 every time a rear guard busts.

Any advice greatly appreciated.

Thanks

What mud guards are you using, and what bike have you got?
How did it brake?

I am using SKS full guards; it is just a winter bike with Eyelets to fit the guards to. Actually think it happened going over a pot hole. However I would expect them to survive that. Not sure if it is something I am doing when fitting them.

It's unusual I think, I've very rarely had a mudguard break, I can only think of one and I think that got jammed or kicked or something... Fixed it with gaffer tape...:girl:

I've had the brackets go sometimes (that hold the guard to the seatstay crossmember),again, fixed with zipties.

Have you tried contacting SKS? Tell them exactly which bit is broken and they might replace it FOC. They've been pretty good in the past.
