Hi guys and girls

Sorry if this has been asked before but im in a bit of a pickle.

Both the wife and I have 700c hybrids, specialized crosstrail and scott sportster. We want to fit rear panniers to these so we can tour around cornwall for our hols. Today i bought two sets of Madison Ridge racks that the sales person informed me would fit our bikes.

Upon installing them it became obvious that the support arms that attach to the mounting holes on the frame are about 4 inches short when the rack is in the vertical.

To make them reach the rack sits at a 30 degree angle.

I have googled for a remady but am at a loss.

Are there extension kits that would fit this or are there longer arms available from somewhere im overlooking.

glad of any help or advise you can offer,

thanx

I don't have a rack myself but it seems that this rack has "adjustable telescopic legs for a true universal fit" - or is this not true of your version? http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?PartnerID=2812&ModelID=26971
