today i had to remove my rear wheel to fix a puncture, when i replaced it my brakes rubbed on one side and my derailer was unable to shift up to the large cog,it took me all day to sort out the derailer after looking at several how to videos and trying every screw and adjuster until i got it someway back to the way it was(it seems slower than before)anyway could somebody tell me how i went wrong,i would hate to have to go to lbs every time i get a puncture thankyou

You probably didn't seat the axle right when you closed the quick release. You just have to make sure its all square before closing (ps its easier to do if you ensure you're in the smallest cog (highest gear) before removal and when refiting) If it still a little off I like to open the QR again squeeze the brakes and whilst holding them close the QR.

I'm not sure what you have adjusted but you might now have adjusted it to a mis alignment and it might need re adjusting to the original correct alignment
