I think about 97% of it will be fine on 28s if you accept taking a few rough bits slowly and aren't carrying the kitchen sink. Gravel tyres would give you another 2% maybe. The last 1% is MTB territory and there's one climb you'll be walking on anything but a fat bike with low low gears, which itself wouldn't be great on some of the long tarmac run from Hunstanton.

Great thanks for the info, really useful!

If its gonna be dry, it will be my 28mm road tyres which I would prefer as it means I can keep my mudguards on. However, if its wet I shall opt for my gravel wheels and 35mm gravel tyres which unfortunately will be at the cost at not having mudguards fitted

Me and the Mrs did part of the Rebellion way from King's Lynn to Norwich. We didn't have time to complete the whole route, so chose what we thought the more pleasant section

It was lovely route, taking in a few seaside resorts, Sandringham and inland lanes. 4 days will be pushing the pace if you dont want to stop and see the sights.

Norwich back to King's Lynn I understand is slow going with sandy rough off road lanes

We did it on ebikes, the wifes bike is a e-hybrid.

We stayed in pubs, hotels

There is nothing in the way of hills to worry you.

Comfy armchair to one person & a plank to the next
New Street to Peterborough. Then ride to Kings Lynn to stop in the Premier Inn
The return leg of https://cycle.travel/map/journey/191703 might be useful to you but it's been over a year since I rode all of it. It's great if there's a SW wind.

It's a shame you're staying in the Premier Inn at Freebridge Services: exiting is a choice between doing a lap of the huge oval roundabout, an illegal and somewhat dodgy right turn across traffic leaving it (this is what's on your rwgps), and scrambling up the bank next to NedEnergy to cross the road to the cycleway. The Travelodge is much better sited, on cycleways in sight of the town's Southgate.

Hope you have a great ride after that, though! I see you're following the official route so skipping most of the gravel on the first day. Nonetheless, I suggest considering looping back from Hunstanton lighthouse and wolf sculpture to exit on Downs Road to Ringstead: it's really unusual, a chalk down never cultivated. Have a fabulous time..you certainly picked good weather.

Ditto request for ride report please...Inc accomodation choices and pre book v turn up . I took am thinking of this as next one, maybe later this year.

We have prebooked the three campsites. The first day is less than ideal in terms of distance, but we'll see how it goes I guess?
