Might consider cutting and putting a crimped ferrule on the rear gear cable too? Does't offend thy eye!
It had been coiled up on the CGR
 
Forgot!

Due to the fork & disc mount, l had to space the mudguard out
I did the same as l had to do to SWMBOs Boardman a couple of years ago

(it was a cap for hers)

I had a dynatech with 7 speed downtube shifters in a light blue , loved that bike but sold it as around 25 years ago i wasnt riding .Gutted i didnt keep it :sad:

Stretching the rear frame for > 7 speed would have been highly inadvisable on bonded titanium, so I wouldn't be too gutted.
