The Anne Mustoe ones are lovely. Middle aged woman jacks in job and cycles round the world. Doesn't know how to fix a puncture. Excellent.

No mention of "Barring Mechanicals" by some lout or other on a recumbent? Good stuff, and lots of cable ties.

Tim wotsit, Gironimo , which was serialised on the Home Service a month or two back.

I'd recommend Moods of further joys by Alistair Humphries. It's part one of his ride around the world. Part two is called Thunder and Sunshine. He rides from Yorkshire to Cape Town, then in part 2 from Tierra del Fuego back to Yorkshire, via Alaska and Siberia. He rides through Siberia in mid- winter

Also, anything by Josie Dew. I think I've read all her books now and they're all good reads.

I recently read Desert Snow by Helen Lloyd - (she rides to Cape Town from the UK) and its good too.
