That's the one I ended up ordering after comparing quite a few on Amazon.
I wanted one that takes batteries as well as wind up power, I think this one takes USB charging too, and of course solar.
It's German technology, shipped from Germany, that sold me it!
I figured it could double to a music player for when I'm out of reach of Wi-Fi or don't want to use my phone's battery.
I notice this radio is now over £50.
I paid, from the same outlet, £ 35.73 on Sunday 25 October, 2 days ago.

This looks remarkably the same for £31 albeit only in Orange

I was thinking about this yesterday.
As a child I had Six-Million Dollar Man doll that came with space backpack that doubled as a radio.
You clipped a cable to a long wire, such as a fence, and then put in an ear-peace.
You then pulled the antenna up and down to tune into a frequency.
No batteries required - maybe there’s a business opportunity there.

On different thought process I started looking for secondhand rollers and Googling “How to ride on rollers.”
My thought process was that riding the bike on rollers using dynamo to charge battery pack was a lot more appealing that hand-cranking a radio. May have just been looking for an excuse to but rollers!

Meantime, bedtime reading is Walden

OK, guys and girls, question.
I now have my radio - just arrived an hour ago, so reading the instruction book (I'm female, it's what we do  ) will be left to tomorrow.
My question is: what channel are you supposed to tune in for emergency government broadcasts?
I normally listen to the radio on Spotify, last time I owned an old school radio there was only AM and FM, what's DAB?

The emergency broadcasts are what they have been trailing on mobiles. With AM long wave transmissions being curtailed the use of radio seems to have been dropped

I thought (maybe incorrectly) if the Today Programme on Radio 4 wasn’t on-air it was “launch nukes” and kiss your A goodbye. (Child of the 80’s so may be “miss-remembering” - is that double speak?)

Radio 4 and local radio stations where the suggested ones. But I don't think Radio 4 is as easy find nowadays

Digital Audio Broadcast.
There'd have been LW and SW, but you probably didn't listen to anything on them.

Radio 4 LW ceased on 27 June due to the transmission infrastructure coming to the end of its life and the provider of that not considering it financially viable to replace given a majority of radios do not have LE nor increasingly MW, on them.
