Springpad is good. It's worth noting Dolphin has released Dolphin Mini which seems to load pages much faster. Pure Calendar widget is also good and Sky+ is very useful for recording those forgotten programmes.

Has anybody any experience of the Wildfire.
The Desire or HD looks excellent, but I can't find an excuse for any thing above £20 a month as I am such a light user.

It will become its own excuse, IMO.

It is not "just" a phone and, in many respects, is outperformed as a "just" a phone because the maximum battery life of around 2 days means you can do better with a 10 year old Nokia if you only want to make phone calls and texts.

If you consider it a small netbook, and use if for email, browsing, GPS, music, messaging, receiving news and weather forecasts without having to download them, carrying Streetmaps in your pocket and having a pretty darned good gaming platform as well, then the phone becomes a bit of an aside.

The decision for me was between a £20 phone and a £25 computer, a decision which didn't trouble me for long.

Well,i have been playing with my new Desire Z for a couple of days now and absolutely love it! I do text and Email far more than call, and it does everything perfectly and is,as Norm said, far more a mini computer than a phone. My very first mobile years ago,a Nokia 5110 was way better as a phone, needed charging once a week and never dropped a call.but did bugger all else! Yes,the desire eats battery life which is only to be expected, and assigning individual ring+text tones to contacts needed me to download an app to enable this important(to me!)feature, but the phone is ace! I absolutely love it! All I need now is to find an app that will cook my tea, clean the house and run me a bath, and ill be a happy Bunny! And the worrying thing is that there are so many thousands of apps for it that if I looked long and hard enough I would probably find one to do all that! All in all I would recommend it to anybody and although I had my doubts at changing from an SE 995 I wouldnt change back.

When you do find it, please remember to post a link to it! ;)

I haven't found an app for that but I'm willing to substitute until someone creates one...

Glad that you are liking it, Text-Monster, I reckon my life wouldn't have been worth much otherwise.
