recommend handlebar grips

My grips, standard kind, £15, deteriorate in a couple of years or less and the rubber surface starts coming off on my hands, leaving my palms black and sticky. Tech fail. Bought several like that. Currently using this https://www.balfesbikes.co.uk/components/finishing-kit/m-part-ecovice-ergo-microtech-grips__1962 and it's starting to happen after only a year.

What sort would you recommend?

Yep - my go-to too.

The Bontrager or Specialized ergo ones are good too if you can find them. Buy cheap, buy twice.
I’d also wear gloves to stop your sweat causing the rubber to deteriorate (not to mention protect your palms should you come off!)
