Posting here because i didn't think it fitted into sportive and Audaxing,..

I am looking for a very low maintenance houseplant, if you read the title you know this already,
It needs to be able to survive being left alone for 7-8 days at a time?

All suggestions gratefully received...

Spider plants are pretty much indestructible. Rubber plants are hard to kill too.

3 years ago I bought an orchid from Sainsburys. It cost £5-00. Mrs v R gives it a drink when she feels it is necessary-usually about every 3 weeks. In that period it has probably been without flowers for a month, at most.

Succulents are the ultimate in low maintenance. They can tolerate not being watered for weeks, but unlike cacti have no spikes. Perfect!

A cactus for sure. Once you know that is ok, and you aren't committing Herbicide, then get something a bit more fancy like an Orchid (see above).

Don't know much about cheese plants (other than they used to be really popular in the '80s), but they sound quite good too.

Cactus are great - an occasional spray with water/feed and they are happy.

Plus they suddenly reward you with flowers like this (the flowers only last a day or two though)

There's ten orchids in our house, they can all go for a few weeks without a drink.
