That does look good value. One to consider for Thursday as well.

Outlaws @ the Capital hotel is also very good value at lunch: £33

In fact, all the Michelin restaurants are very good value at lunch - they make their main money in the evening and can offer fantastic value in the middle of the day.

Mrs PK and I never have done loads over the years.

3 courses at a decent London pub will come to the same!

For tea the only place is the Ritz. If you want something different go to Chinatown in Soho for Dim Sum. Served from about two to six. You get tea thrown in for free. You don't order anything, you just pick the dishes you fancy from trolleys that are wheeled around, mainly steamed dumplings. Don't go on Sunday it'll be very crowded, that's when all the Chinese go.
Best imho and not too expensive is Chuen Cheng Ku at the bottom of Wardour St near Leicester Sq.
Try the chickens feet, delicious! Really.

Much as i love dim sums they can be a bit porky if you're not careful

Mr Yeung's at Yang Sing in Manchester are the best

Do you think Mossie would appreciate it up the Oxo Tower?
This has been mentioned, thanks

So far we're thinking that Roux brothers one (the one that's not Le Gavroche) for Thursday 'lunch' and Benares for Friday early dinner but keep them coming.

Barrafina in Dean st, Soho. Best tapas in London and possibly the world. Easy to rack up £100 a head as you sit at the bar and the lovely cooks talk you through the dish they're about to cook and the wine / sherry to with it. Great relaxed atmosphere, great theatre, incredible food. A real experience. Doesnt even matter if you turn up drenched from a storm off your bike, I did this once, and its fine even though you might be sitting next to someone dead posh.
The reviews speak for themselves.
They do serve pork and indeed you will see other customers pork dishes being cooked before your eyes so if that's a problem it's not for you. However, there are plenty of amazing veggie an fish dishes to try and you'll see the ingredients beautifully presented before they're cooked.
You can't book a seat though so you may have to queue to get your place at the bar.
I've never been in the evening for me tea but the three dinners (ok lunches) are all in the top five best ever food experiences for me and I love my food.
