We went for the Peak District in the end. Got ourselves a cottage booked and 3 rides planned out. Looking forward to Winnats Pass, Mam Tor et al already.....at least we'll be able to look forward to restorative malted beverages in the swimming pool after the rides!
Thanks for all the suggestions. Norfolk is top of the shortlist for next year, with West Coast of Scotland the dream if time and finances allow in the future.
