Hi All.
My legs are just about recovered fro the very wet, windy and hilly Isle of Wight Randonee.
My first experience of this obviously popular ride was very positive, (even if the best bit was having a hot soak in the bath at my parents house in Lymington)!
The section from Bembridge to Niton was pretty evil with heavy rain and strong winds but made bearable by the good natured encouragement of others on the road.
A bout of cramp brought on by the cooling effects of the rain and wind forced me to walk up one of the hills near Freshwater. Still at least I have a target to beat next year - not getting off!
Regards Nick
