Purchased 2014 direct from Bram Moens as a frameset+seat+mechs (SRAM X9), built up with...
* Dual density ventisit seat padding
* M5 headrest
* Very standard 700c (25-622) rear wheel (11-40t using large Hope sprocket)
* Very nonstandard wide 26" front wheel (Mavic X321 Disc rim, Marathon Supreme 50-559 tyre) with Supernova switchable hub dynamo + Exposure Revo light. I would quite like to keep these.
* XTR front hydraulic disk brake
* Since 2020, Thorn 155mm cranks with 23-44 compact double
* Since 2023, Metabikes folding handlebar stem and Condor carbon front fork
It's only done a couple of hundred miles max since 2020. Total mileage in the low thousands, definitely less than 10,000 miles.
The bottom of the head tube has been ground down by about 2cm in Bram's workshop, which lowers the front end compared to other CHRs; I find this an improvement myself!
Also carbon tail box (about 20ltrs I think) but you're gonna have to work out how to attach it to the carbon "rear rack", I did not manage to make this fit well and mostly used banana bags (you can have these too if you like).
**NOTE there is some damage to the carbon fibre of the boom and the seat** but not the main frame as far as I am aware. The telescopic boom has a small crack in the front derailleur-mount post, entirely hidden beneath the derailleur, and very hard to photograph up close. This presumably results from overtightening the bolt holding the front derailleur in place. AFAICT the front derailleur still works fine.... and there is some damage to the seat, pictured. I'm not sure whether the latter results from some the tailbox bouncing around into it or some earlier impact, but if earlier, then it's not propagated for a few thousand miles since...
Super-light, one is astonished to pick it up. Still 13kg with my components (esp. that front wheel), but you could easily get it down by using lighter ones. (The metabikes stem adds a bit, but I still have Bram's non-folding one if you really want to go that way!) The ride is incredible - smooth and responsive, super-fast; supreme on the open road, very stable (long wheelbase), but definitely not ideal for "about town" situations. 8' long.
Bram sold the frames for more than £2k or £3k+ for complete bike before he retired a few years back, tailbox another £600. Around that time I was advised mine would probably be worth £2k but that was before I found the damage to seat and boom (repeat, not to main frame; seat is replaceable).
So, what's it worth? Collection only from Cambridge, realistically I think you'd have to come and take a look at it first, and have a test ride.
