Reduced rates for cyclists and walkers in France

First camping with special rates for cyclists and walkers, yesterday it was a Campanile hotel as the camping out of town was being renovated to support more camper wagons (grass removed for gravel /grass pitches, no more tents).

Third one today, 10-14 euros for 2+tent +pitch, pitches are quite big same space as car and tent ones.

This one has secure boxes for charging phones if you don't want to leave phone in the toilet block overnight . The 🚴 tourist pitches have covered tables, the Euro velo 3 runs past the campsite, 4 in heading south tomorrow.

This is why we do cyclo camping in France, the municipal campings are good. 5€ for the tent, bikes and 2 people. Good toilet blocks, a fridge, cooker and a big ronm if weather is bad.

Almost on the Loire valley, bottom end of the Vienne. 13 € bar and covered kitchen a bonus 😀

Could be a cheaper route to follow than camping in Southern England, even after paying for a ferry+cabin!

Ming you should try camping in the south of France 🇫🇷. All the pitches with shade are filled and no one wants toasted in the sun all day long. Try going in late June, July and August 😎.
If you cycle toured you would know it's always best to have shade in the evening and sun in the morning. Then it's easy to dry groundsheet and condensation if any.
