Thought I'd ask here..

OLN on this is 126mm. I want to reduce it to 120mm. Is it as simple as taking the drive side lock nut off, taking that spacer off and replacing it with a narrower spacer or spacers? Think it would be ok to cut 6mm off the axle on that side too?

Yes, but you'll need to re-centre the axle.

Or replacing the spacer with one 6mm narrower may be a neater solution, although you'll still need to re-centre it.

Edit - apologies, have just re-read your post. I originally read it as removing the lock nut. Your solution of removeing / replacing the spacer is the neatest solution.

I ran a steel track frame with a rear wheel with a 5 speed block. Probably was a 126. Just forced the forks wider and pushed the wheel in.
