Reducing spacers on headset

Ive got 4 spacers on my road / audax bike headset (hope ive got the anatomy correct) - which was to help me stay comfortable when I was a big fatty, but my belly is much slimmer and i'm concious I could be a bit more aerodynamic if I reduced this.
Are there any negative points to doing this as i'm very comfy on the bike and would like to know if I should hesitate before reducing down to 3, or possibly 2 spacers?
Thanks muchly, Neil.

It is completely reversible as long as you don't cut the steering tube. Give it a try, if you don't like it put it back.

No issues really, just swap them to above the stem.

Your body and back will adjust to the new position.

Just move the spacers from below the stem to above it. Easy to do and completely reversible.
When you know how many spacers you want for definite you can cut the steerer down.

Why not lower the handlebars by moving the spacers above the stem and ride your bike for a while before making the commitment to cutting the stem down.
