Yes I can, Yes I am, Yes I did...Repeat.
I remember going through this before but have forgotten . So apologies.

But if anybody can tell me how to reduce the track points on a gpx file in bike route toaster that would be most useful.

The origional file was done in another mapping site and used auto route so the track truncates when i export it to my garmin gps map 60 csx.
and Garmin edge 800

I'd rather not have to re plan these routes as it would take days ....so I would like to run the files through some softwar and reduce the track points.

Thankyou if you can help.

Maybe not the easiest way but I use my go-to routing site which is www.gpxeditor.co.uk

If you use this you have to:
Save the file on your pc somewhere
go to gpxeditor
Right click and select load from the context menu
Select your file
Then right click the route (top right) and I think its edit then reduce
Enter the number of points
Then right click the route and do save just this to download it.

Thats a way. I'm sure there are many and better ways.

Did I do them for you?

I did some LEJOG tracks for someone a year or two back.
