I wasn't that impressed by my waterproof Hump; the pop-fasteners came away in under 6 months and then I made the mistake of popping it in the washing machine (and the waterproof lining came off, covering the inside of the machine in layers of gossamer-thin white plastic.

After that I got a Hi-Viz waterproof cover from Creative Reflectives, and have since bought another for my smaller Deuter backpack. They're much harder-wearing that the Hump, and fit better too.

They no longer have their own website and the guy now sells through eBay.

Ciao. ;)

Any of you folks know where i can get a rucksack, made of waterproof reflective material ? (suitable for the commute of course)

Thanks.

Jim, I brought a Vaude Bike Alpin Air 30+5 rucksack from Cyle-surgery in Hammersmith and it comes with an expandable dayglo orange waterproof skin that has a little reflective Vaude logo on it.

I've ridden in for 9 weeks or so, over 40 mile a day in all sorts of rain and nothing...NOTHING has ever got even slightly damp.

Well pleased with that purchase...its a good sack too with plenty of features.

I do find my rear vision a little restricted when the cover is on and have to make a better attempt at making lifesaver looks over my shoulder.

Hope that helps.

I agree, the build quality really isn't up to much. I'm on my third, having sent the first back because one of the pop fasteners went almost immediately, the second one because the flourescent lighting strip failed after about 6 months. Don't think I'd buy again. It's a shame because they look great!

Yep - look good, but the build quality is pretty shoddy. The Creative Reflective covers have been bomb-proof so far though, and they're now a lot cheaper than they were when I bought them (mind you, the attachable reflective signs that used to come as part of the package must now be bought separately from another eBay seller).

As goo says. I have the cover and a reflective sign and it is fab. They could have put a top fixing on the cover though to improve it.

In case anyone goes there by following the links in this thread - Avast free edition detected and reported a virus on the page that opens on the beseenonabike website (before it could get to my pc, fortunately).
