Having grown up in Twickenham and surrounding area's I only saw racism for the first time when I moved to Lincolnshire, it is very sad.

Shame they all miss the real point

The child that is being used to foment these campaigns died on the journey

None of this would hve made any difference whatsoever to that child, their family or their future

Can we arrange an exchange with the numerous thieving lazy junkie scrotes who are a burden on the NHS, Police, prisons, welfare, social services etc. across the country? I know who I would rather have living in my town.

Not really. I don't think people want to do it so another child doesn't die as such. More to help peopke so desperate that they need refuge from somethubg so horrific they're willing to make such a journey.

Why is this important?
Aylan, the toddler who drowned fleeing Syria, was just three years old. His town was under attack by Isis. His five year old brother and his mum also died trying to reach safety.

Yet our prime minister said ‘we won't take any more refugees’. He thinks that most of us don't care. But 38 Degrees members do care. We don't want Britain to be the kind of country that turns its back as people drown in their desperation to flee places like Syria.

Clearly uses the child's death and the death of others as an emotive cosh then fails to do anything about the one thing that they keep making a point of.

None of the solutions in these petitions answered their own point - in fact a more generous quota of reugees maty even make the option more attractive and incentivise more people to take this dangerous journey and increase the number drowning

You are right. We need to have a big line of people punching these refugees in the face. Maybe then they're learn and stay there. Obviously not near those IS lot or our bombs. I reckon that nice safe part of Syria.

Shock and disgust was expressed in the pages of the Daily Telegraph that some of the migrants were found to have mobile phones, credit cards, decent clothes, and were well fed.

Now let's see, if I had to flee a war zone, what would I make sure I packed? Oh yeah.
